The second half of our week in St. John was equally as fun as the first half! We started Wednesday by renting a Jeep for two days! It was definitely a great way to explore the island and see more of the National Park.
Our first stop was in Cinnamon Bay! Like all the beaches it was absolutely beautiful. And, it was here that I saw my very first sea turtle!! All in all we saw 7 on our trip!
(Note: I apologize for the poor quality of the underwater shots – a disposable camera only goes so far…)
Next we ventured to Waterlemon Bay where we hiked to the beach for more snorkeling! The coral around Waterlemon Kay was stunning!
Our day ended with a quick stop at Maho Bay!
Thursday morning we left early from the hotel and arrived at Trunk Bay before the crowds! It was amazing!
We then made our way to the east end of the island and hiked to a small cove! The snorkeling was amazing and it was our own private beach for a few hours!
We ate lunch at Chateau Bordeaux. It’s one of the highest restaurants on St. John and the views are out of this world! You can see all the way to the British Virgin Islands! Oh, and the drinks weren’t bad either! haha
We spent our afternoon at Salt Pond Bay were we snorkeled and hiked to the outermost edge of the island!
After our hike we stayed on the beach to watch the moonrise!
Friday was our 5th wedding anniversary!!! We celebrated by spending the morning on the beach, having lunch at a beach-side bar and then ending the day (and the trip) with a wonderful dinner at La Tapa!
St. John is honestly the most breathtaking place I’ve ever been. I cannot recommend it enough – and I can’t wait to go back! If my next trip there was to shoot a wedding it would be even better!! (A girl can dream, right?!)
