To say I was excited about Rhonda & Scott’s big day was an understatement! These two have been through so much – not only in life, but throughout their wedding planning process. I’ll never forget when Rhonda called me frantic because they had to change their venue a few months out from the wedding. Yep, you read that right – change.their.venue. And consequently, change their wedding date. All things considered, these two handled everything like pros! I think I speak for everyone in attendance when I say that we all wanted Rhonda & Scott’s day to go flawlessly – they deserved it!
I always say that everything happens for a reason, and when I arrived on Saturday at Springfield Manor in Thurmont, MD, I knew what that reason was! The venue was absolutely stunning! The bride and groom couldn’t have asked for more! Springfield is a relatively new venue and it’s by far one of nicest places I’ve ever shot. The main house is impeccably restored and a huge ballroom addition makes for an upscale reception area. The grounds are perfectly manicured and are accented by the views of rolling hills and mountains!
A huge storm came through in the afternoon, but finished up and held off long enough for Rhonda & Scott to be married outside! I was so happy for Rhonda because I knew this is what she truly wanted. She waited a long time to marry her best friend, and when everything was said and done, the day unfolded perfectly.
Rhonda & Scott – Thank you so much for allowing me to capture your special day! It was truly beautiful and I hope you enjoy the preview of your photos below!
Kennedy (left) was the youngest of three flower girls! Isn’t she adorable?
Rhonda, you are a stunning bride! I’m still drooling over your dress…
Scott was blown away by his bride! That’s him waving to her as she walked down the isle towards him – so sweet!
Love that shot on the left. “Happily Ever After Starts Here” – photo credit to my husband (and awesome second shooter!)
