When I saw the weather forecast last week I cringed. I had been looking forward to Erica & Pete’s engagement session for weeks and it was scheduled for Friday morning. Heavy rain and flash floods were expected Thursday night into Friday morning. I was so happy that Erica & Pete were flexible enough to move the shoot to Friday afternoon. We were expecting cloudy skies but we got a clear, sunny day! The weather was perfect!

We met at Glen Echo Park for their shoot. It was such a beautiful place. I’d been dying to shoot there and when Erica suggested it because she wanted carousel photos I could not have been more excited! We had SO much fun exploring the park and riding the restored carousel! Although, Erica and I may have been dizzier than we expected by the end of it. What a LONG ride it was! However, we got some great photos and had a good laugh – two of my favorite things!

For the second part of the shoot we utilized the wooded area of the park. It’s amazing how the photos look like we’re deep in the woods! It was a very small area but it provided the perfect backdrop for the “nature” photos Erica wanted!

Erica & Pete – it was so much fun spending time with you and getting to know you better. I hope you love the preview of your photos! I can’t wait for July!!
