There are a lot of photographers who will only shoot engagement sessions for their wedding clients. While I understand their reasoning and have considered this idea, shoots like the one I’m sharing today are prime examples of why I haven’t been able to make that policy switch. Louisa & Justin will be getting married next year in Michigan, and while I won’t be photographing their wedding, I was able to capture their engagement and a small piece of their life together in D.C.! For this reason, these photos will be a perfect complement to their wedding photos and hold a special place in their hearts!
Meeting in Georgetown, D.C. was a great idea considering the vision that Louisa & Justin had for their shoot! We started the shoot near the waterfront! Since we met on a weeknight, it was not crowded at all! We were all very thankful for that! After exploring near the river, and a quick outfit change, we headed up to M Street for additional photos. We ended the shoot at the Old Stone House garden. It was a beautiful evening!
I had such a great time getting to know Louisa & Justin. I wish them all the best! Enjoy a few favorites from our time together:
