In the past few years boudoir photography has become very popular, for both brides and non-brides alike. It’s always nice to feel beautiful and really “own” your femininity. Although I had watched this trend rise, I had never had the chance to photograph a session until this spring. I’m thankful that Megan agreed to let me share some of the photos with you today!
Back in March, Megan was a bride-to-be wanting something special to surprise her husband with on their wedding day. She figured boudoir portraits would be the perfect gift! She contacted me about photographing her portraits. Although I had never done a shoot, I was very excited to have the experience! We made arrangements to meet at a hotel room with beautiful natural light – it was the perfect location.
I really enjoyed this shoot. To me, boudoir has everything to do with women wanting to feel empowered and beautiful in their own skin. I was very happy to help Megan have this experience. Below are a few of my favorite photos.
