Last year I had the pleasure of donating a photography package to Hopecam’s silent auction. Hopecam is an amazing organization that helps connect homebound children undergoing treatment for cancer, and other life-threatening illnesses with their friends at school using laptops, high speed internet connections and web cameras. Since being founded in 2003 by a parent whose child was diagnosed with leukemia, Hopecam has connected over 160 children with their friends, classmates and families.

Shortly after the auction, I was connected with Ann & Doug, who were the winning bidders! A few weeks ago, we held their shoot at their home. I was thrilled to finally meet them, and their children – Peter and Kathleen. They are such a wonderful family! We had a great time shooting and even had time to do a mini senior portrait session for Kathleen, who will be heading to college this fall!

It was such an honor to be involved in this process. I encourage everyone to check out Hopecam’s site and learn more about this great organization!
