Timeless.Touching.True.

These three words are my approach to photography. I strive for my work to possess all three qualities.

Timeless – Your collection should stand the test of time. I want you to look back at your images five, ten, twenty years from now and still love them as much as you did the first time you saw them.

Touching – Your images should evoke emotion and take you back to the moment they were captured.

True – Your images should represent YOU! They should be true to who you were at the time they were taken.

I hold myself accountable to these three standards and always shoot with them in mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where do you typically shoot?
I like working with my clients to come up with the perfect location. The ultimate decision is made by the client – I merely serve as a reference!

When do you typically shoot?
As I prefer shooting outdoors in natural light, sessions are held either in the morning or evening. Typically 2 hours after sunrise or 2 hours before sunset.

What should I wear?
In my experience, there is not a particular color or pattern that photographs better/worse than another. So, I always tell clients to wear something that is true to who they are. If you wear sneakers more than heels, take that into consideration. You want your photos to be true to you – and outfit choice plays a critical role.

How long before I get to see my photos?
I will post a blog sneak peek within a few days of your shoot or event.

For Weddings, you can expect your gallery of images 4 weeks from your wedding date – the perfect one month anniversary present!
For Senior & Portrait sessions, you can expect your gallery of images within 2 weeks time.

What products do you offer?
I offer a variety of products for you to choose from including: Leather Flush-mount Albums, Guest Books, Canvas Wall Art, custom designed Thank You cards, Save-the-Dates, Graduation Announcements, and much more.

Last Saturday I met Rebecca & Sam in Clifton, VA for their engagement session! I have no idea how we lucked out with such a nice day in the middle of January. Sam was disappointed though – he’s from Alabama and was hoping to escape the warm weather for a weekend! I think he brought it with him! Rebecca and Sam met at the University of Alabama and are proud Almuni – ROLL TIDE indeed! They are such a sweet couple and I had so much fun spending the afternoon getting to know them better.

We started our shoot at Trummer’s on Main. A very nice restaurant with an amazing wine cellar! Many thanks to Megan at Events in the City (Rebecca & Sam’s amazing wedding planner – seriously, check her out!), we were granted access to shoot in the cellar! It was a great way to start the shoot and provided for some really dramatic, moody shots.

In stark contrast to these images, we also captured some shots around town! An old train car, a vintage Texaco sign, and “Main Street” provided some of my favorite photos of the day! We then ended at Paradise Springs Winery – which had some really neat architecture as well!

Rebecca & Sam – thank you so much for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives. I am so looking forward to your wedding in September! I know it will be a fabulous day!

I don’t even know where to begin. I will start by saying how much I adore this couple! Andrea & Clint are perfect for each other, and it shows! They had a fabulous wedding this weekend that was filled with personal touches. From the music selection, to the antique jewelry, to the personalized favors, no detail was left untouched. Even the rain couldn’t put a damper on their special day!

To Andrea, Clint, and their families: Thank you for allowing me to document your memories. It was a huge honor to be a part of such a wonderful affair!

There are a LOT of photos because I have a LOT of favorites from this one! Enjoy!

Special Thanks to these fabulous vendors –

Katie & Steve were married on Saturday at the gorgeous Sequoia Restaurant in Georgetown, DC! I know I say all the time at I work with the sweetest couples, but it’s worth repeating for these two! Everything about this day was elegant yet relaxed, the perfect reflection of how they are together! Steve is from New Jersey and Katie is from Arkansas. Having met and fallen in love in DC, it was the ideal city to host family and friends as they vowed forever! The entire day was filled with details that highlighted their love of their adopted home. From the sweet ceremony sentiments that recounted their love story, to the custom table numbers that reflected areas around town special to their relationship, to the Georgetown Cupcake favors, their celebration was personal, unique and inviting to all who attended!

To the newlyweds, I’m honored that I had the opportunity to capture such special memories for you. I hope you enjoy the preview of your images below! Love you guys!

I would also like to thank my amazing husband for second shooting with me! Love you Josh!

This weekend I traveled to Pittsburgh, PA to photograph Chloe & Dave’s maternity session! Chloe is my husband’s cousin and I couldn’t be happier for her and Dave! I know they will be amazing parents. It is already evident how much love they have for their little girl, Rorie! Capturing memories for family members is always such an honor and I’m so happy we were able to make this shoot happen!

In addition to this, I was BEYOND excited to shoot on Roberto Clemente Bridge! My family is from Pittsburgh originally and I grew up visiting the city quite often. I still go back a couple times a year for sporting events and to visit friends. Each time I sat in PNC Park and looked out at the skyline I thought to myself how much I REALLY wanted to do a shoot with that as the background. This weekend I finally got my chance, and it even SNOWED!! Ah!

Chloe & Dave – thank you so much allowing me to photograph such a happy, special, exciting time in your lives. My hope is that one day Rorie will be able to look at these photos and see the joy she brought you even before she was born!
